The Sink or Swallet series employs the visual language of storms and inundation as a way to think about instability, exposure, and shifting ground. Layered surfaces, suspended forms, and fluid spatial relationships suggest conditions in which structure is provisional and meaning remains unsettled. Rather than describing specific events, the work draws on the logic of atmospheric forces to evoke states of uncertainty shaped by history, power, and place. Abstraction becomes a tool for holding tension, allowing form to drift, erode, and reconfigure, reflecting how cultural identities are continually shaped within unstable and contingent environments.
